In addition to opening the Regional Conference for the Riau Islands, the Chairman has opened a number of Regional Conference on the islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan. Also attending the event were the Deputy Governor of Banten, the Chairperson of the Advisory Council, the Chair of the Sharia Council, the General Secretary, General Treasure and the leaders of the DPW and DPC PPP throughout the Banten Islands Province.
At the beginning of his speech, Chairman Suharso said that the first Governor in Banten Province, Joko Munandar, who served from 2002 to 2005, was a PPP cadre.
On the occasion, Chairman who is also the Minister of National Development Planning said that Banten is a province with the second highest GRDP per capita on the island of Java, after East Java.
"So East Java is around 4,188 USD per capita, why do I use this figure, because this figure is what we use to alleviate, bringing this nation out of the Middle Income Trap, from the middle income trap. We have to break above USD 12,000, at least Banten can rise above USD 4,000, ”said Chairman.
Chairman also appealed to all PPP cadres in Banten Province to participate in increasing the GRDP of Banten, and to help build the province.
"This means how the presence of PPP cadres in Banten is not only a spectator, not only an object and not only appears during elections, during regional elections or when the political calendars are in effect, because the formation of Banten was the hard work of PPP cadres. Therefore, it is important the responsibility of PPP cadres to participate in building the province in Banten," he said.
